12-9-21 THOUGHTS
A song book is open on my desk to Jesus Savior, Pilot Me. The first verse says, “Jesus Savior pilot me, over life’s tempestuous seas; Unknown waves before me roll, Hiding rock and treacherous shoal; Chart and compass came from thee, Jesus Savior, pilot me.” We take up the theme of guidance, or directing or inclining, or helping us order and arrange for our benefit.
Jer 10:23 I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not in himself, Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps.
Jer 31:33 "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
Isa 30:21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Prov 16:9 The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
Prov 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Prov 11:5 The righteousness of the blameless will smooth his way, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.

1Chron 29:18 "O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, our fathers, preserve this forever in the intentions of the heart of Your people, and direct their heart to You;
Ps 119:36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to [dishonest] gain.
1Thes 3:11 Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you;
2Thes 3:5 May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.
Jas 1:16-18 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. 18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
Jas 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
My Prayer:
Thank you O Lord for the way of truth and life that is in Christ Jesus. Direct our hearts and minds to being totally bound up in you O God. Help us to abide in the Vine. Give us wisdom to serve you acceptably and powerfully. May we seek our heavenly home with our all.
